Lagos Living// My Visit to the Nike Art gallery.

Hello beautiful,

Trust you are doing great. So after so many procrastination I finally got to visit the famous Nike art gallery here in Lagos.

Art gallery, places to visit in Lagos

The gallery is located at Lekki, just after the first round about, it is quite easy to locate.

Gallery opens from 10am – 6pm daily. Oh and it has a free access policy so you don’t need to worry about paying any gate fee.

The gallery has over 25,000 pieces of art work, all created by Nigerian artist.

Once you got into the gallery we were welcomed in with smiling faces & made to sign a register. We were also told that taking direct pictures of the art works were prohibited but you could take pictures besides any of the art work.

The gallery was a 3 storey building filled with lovely art works, it was such a beautiful place. Oh I forgot to mention all the art works were available for sale.

All in all I had an exciting time, there.

If you are in Lagos and you are looking for something exciting to do, you should definitely visit Nike Art gallery.

After walking round the gallery, I got extremely hungry and there was no place to get food around.

Anyways we got palm wine just by the exit of the building. They said they were only available on weekends.

Oh! I didn’t mention I meet the owner of the gallery when I got there and she was so pleasant, we even got to talk briefly.

If you haven’t been there, you definitely need to add it to your list, after all you don’t need to spend too much, just get yourself there that’s all.

What I wore.

Like they say you can never go wrong with a black dress, so I opted for a black dress and a laced up sandal. I went for a comfortable yet stylish fit.

My dress was thrifted for just 700 Naira.

Have you been to Nike art gallery? What was your experience like?

If you haven’t been there, is it a place you’d love to visit?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Until next time,

Stay beautiful

  1. I visited Nike Art Gallery with friends from school a couple of years ago and your post makes me want to return so bad! Thing is I didn’t get to see Mama Nike so I have to put this on my list soon enough.

Looks like the photography rules haven’t changed much and it’s still a cool destination as usual.

Cheers to more Lagos adventures! 🥂 *sips palm wine*
